Short Report
Watching without subtitles, a thing I normally wouldn’t do. But for this project we had to. During the movies: The Shawshank Redemption and Pulp Fiction I hadn’t any problem to look without subtitles. But the Godfather was a bit harder to watch, because of some scenes were spoken in Italian. But the rest of the movie was perfect understandable. My parents didn’t make any problem out of the whole age thing. They told me I just could watch the movies. The Shawshank Redemption I watched on my IPad in three parts, because I normally don’t have any time too watch a movie this was a good excuse too my parents to stay looking and afford some chars. The Godfather did I watched on our curved TV with the cinema sound installation on. What I also did during I watched Pulp Fiction. I watched both movies in one time without pauses. During The godfather, it cost me some more effort, because of the wordy story. What I didn’t had during Pulp Fiction. I watched all three movies alone on the couch, because I don’t like to watch movies with other persons. It gets me distracted from what happens in the movies. At first I thought the quality of the movies would be horrible, because they are all three very old. Eventually they weren’t that bad I thought. They were good. I loved the three totally divergent kinds off time in the movies. I also eaten salted popcorn during the movies. It sounds like a cliché, but who doesn’t love a good snack during a good movie? Normally I look in every movie for some good quotes, during Pulp Fiction and The Shawshank Redemption I happily found some good ones. So, this was the end of my project I hope you liked it!

Hello there,
Today I am gone tell you about 3 top 10 rated movies from the list on IMDB. The three movies I-chose were:
· The Shawshank Redemption; Who stands on the first place of the 250 movies
· The Godfather; Who stands on the second place
· Pulp Fiction; Who stands on the seventh place
If I have too rate the movies too my opinion I think the best is The Shawshank Redemption and as second Pulp Fiction and as third, The godfather. I will explain this during the rest of my report.
For if you haven’t watched the movies jet I will warn you for some spoilers. So maybe you should watch the movies first. So without further ado let’s get started.
The Shawshank Redemption
I totally understand why this movie stands on the first place on the list from IMDB. It hasn’t only had super actors with Andy played by Tim Robbins and my favourite character “Red” played by Morgan Freeman. It’s the whole story that touches me so much. So, I don’t blame myself for letting a tear during the moment Brooks (played by James Whitmore) hung himself because he was too afraid of the outworld. The movie is set in the prison called: Shawshank prison. Where the director and gardens play a very nasty game with corruption. Andy landed in the Shawshank prison after getting a life sentence for murdering his wife and lover. Here he meds Red who help him during his prison time to get all kinds of stuff Andy asks for. Later in the movie there came a new guy too prison who told Andy he heard a man say that he led some man go in prison for what was his fouled, what pale to be Andy. After the director found out he killed the boy who would witness for Andy. Eventually Andy escapes from prison and “Red” is been released.
The Godfather
Also, a good movie, but too my opinion way too wordy. There was much of fake blood and a lot of overacting. I don’t understand why this movie is been rated so high. But enough negativity. What I do liked was the whole Italian mafia story. With some scenes spoken Italian, some things I understood because it sounds a bit like Spanish. But subtitles would have been nice. The movie plays some were in the forties. And it’s about the family Don Corleone. The boss of the family mafia is Don Vito Corleone. Who has much enemies. Mr. Corleone has two sons by law and one daughter, and one adopted son. The whole business is being guided by family and some loyal friends. Mr. Corleone will have been shot by two assassins later in the movie but survives it. Eventually Michael the youngest son of Mr. Corleone will become the boss after his father died. Which was very crazy, because Michael wanted nothing to do with the family business. At the end, Michael, has been changed and now looks a lot like his father in his way of doing, sadly his American wife isn’t so happy with that.
Pulp Fiction
At first I, didn’t understood anything of this movie because the whole movie isn’t in chronological order. Happily, at the end everything veld in place and the whole movie was in 1 word; amazing. The funny moments between Vincent (John Travolta) and Jules (Samuel L. Jackson) where my favourite parts. The movie is about five different stories who eventually will come together and been influence by each other. The best scene of my opinion was the scene in the restaurant part I & II. And the part where Mia (played by Uma Thurman) who is the wife of the boss gets an overdose on drugs and the chaotic Vincent tried to save his bosses wife. One sentence I will not forget in this movie is what Jules tolled Vincent during part II in the restaurant. “If my answers frighten you then you should cease asking scary questions”. This movie is totally a recommender!
Comparing
All the three movies I chose are in the same genre, they are all three Crime/Drama movies. I wasn’t mend too choose three movies in the same category but after I watched them I found out they were all in the same genre. All three movies are playing in three divergent kinds of time. So is The Shawshank Redemption a story playing somewhere in the middle of the 20th century, The godfather in the forties and Pulp Fiction during somewhere in the nineties I think. That’s because of the sort mobile phones they use. In The godfather is everything played very dramatic, big and with much of blood. In the other two movies thing get a bit more modest. The Pulp Fiction was a movie where I laugh about. The other two movie were some more serious.

Diary, Animal Farm
First lesson. At first our teacher Mr. Rol went to print out the project papers. This project we are supposed to read the book “Animal Farm” by George Orwell. Today we have learned some new words that will help us by this project. The two most important words were utopia and dystopia. A utopia is the best imaginable world and a dystopia is the worst imagine of a world. After the introduction of the project I went working on my website. I made a new page with all the things where this project is about. Then I went reading the book a bit and the first page made me already wanted to read more but I can say, it was very strange to read from the perspective of an animal.
Second Lesson. Today we were told that there were made some changes into the project. At first Destiny was named as the leader of the project, she was supposed to give everybody a subject to specialize in to. And that you will give a presentation about your subject in a big class presentation who we are gone make with the program Prezi. My subject were the characters Snowball (a pig), Boxer (a horse) and Benjamin (a donkey). The rest of the subjects were: The writer (George Orwell), The –isms, Historical context, Napoleon and Squealer, Rules – songs and commandments, Genre and length, Fables and allegories, People and pigs, Nounative structure and novella, Old Major, Utopia or dystopia and Moses and religion and last Feelings and opinion of the book . After the changes were clear I went reading again. Who and what the characters where became little by little more clear.
Third Lesson. Today I just went reading again, I have noticed that I am really getting into the story now. It is a very crazy idea that a couple of animals on a farm just can start a revolution. And that they can be convinced by some story so quick. In the begin of the story are my characters more on the background, but when old Major dies they get a lot more in front of the whole story. Except Benjamin, the old donkey has still the same thoughts about this whole revolution and do not want to be a part of it. During reading the book I went marking the parts where my characters were speaking or where involved in to the situation. That will help me by making my presentation, so I can find the pieces of text where my characters came in for. I also went writing down some important aspects about my characters for the presentation.
Fourth lesson. This day we went practicing for the reading test that we will have to make soon. It went very well, I had a great score. This practicing test lasted the whole lesson. So I had no time to read it during class anymore. Luckily I red some at home so I do not went out of schedule. I am now at chapter 5 and Snowball is in a fervent battle with Napoleon to take lead over the farm. Sadly Snowball was chased away from the farm by Napoleons dogs. I think this will bring the whole situation in danger, because Napoleon wants to get things done as he want it and when you do not give him what he wants he will use violence on you. I had the idea that Snowball was going to do some great things with his power and not gone abuse it.
Fifth Lesson. A new day so let’s start. Today I was supposed to arrange that we have pizza today, but as stupid I am sometimes I forgot to check if the pizzeria was open. Sadly the pizzeria was not open, so Thorald took over the charge and fixed everything for next week. Later I went working on my website to make it more clear and efficient. I finally figured out how to make different tabs and so I was fore today a real web designer, just a joke in between. I took all the wandering blog posts from the second class and putted them into neat pages. After that I went further with the blog posts from this year and did the same thing. Eventually my website looked clearer and now there were no more blog posts that where wandering. After I did this all I saved it and then I launched it. I had a little time over so I went reading a bit of the book now I am at chapter 6. Tomorrow we have the reading test, let’s hope this will be a good grade.
Sixth Lesson. Finally there is the pizza lesson. Today we went eating pizza! It was a bit a mess, the pizza guy came earlier during Biology. Happily our Biology teacher could laugh about it and it was not a big deal. So Thorald went with the pizza guy to pay the €70, – . When the school bell rang we went running to our English class local. The whole school course was smelling at pizza. So ever body grape their pizza, and then there came the next problem. The pizzeria delivered one pizza not. It was the pizza of Serena and me. Thorald began to call the pizzeria and said they delivered one pizza not, but they said he had to just buy a new one. Finally we did buy a new pizza. When the pizza arrived could Serena and I also enjoy this tasteful meal. We had putting some music on and played hangman.
Seventh lesson. Today began the presentations. The WIFI did not worked very well so starting took a very long time and we have shortened class schedule this week, so that means the classes only take 40 minutes. Dorus was as first he was telling about the writer of the story. I thought the presentation went very well, only he could digging a little deeper in him subject. For the rest it was a very good presentation. As second one was Sverre on turn, the WIFI still did not worked well so it took again a long time before starting. Sverre’s presentation went very well, it was about the –isms. I had no tips for this presentation. As third Peter was supposed to be, but there were a lot of technical doubts. So it took forever to finally start, Mr. Rol told us about the “Rachied’tje doen”. And that this looks a bit as it. When Peter’s presentation was ready the school bell almost went, so Mr. Roll told he could do it tomorrow.
Eight Lesson. Today we went further with the presentations. Sadly the WIFI still did not worked as it supposed to be. Peter started this time with presenting, it was about the historical context. I thought it went very well, he got a 7, 5. After Peter it was Sanne’s turn. Sanne was presenting about Napoleon and Squealer. She got a tip that she had to go more into the characters and not about the story itself, but it went very well so she got an 7,5. After Sanne it was the turn of Loïs. The presentation of Loïs was about Rules – songs and commandments. The presentation of Loïs was amazing, it was clear and very good! She got an 8. The last of today was Niloufar with a presentation about genre and length, the presentation of her went super! It was very handy that she explained some of the word she used, know I have learned some new difficult words.
Ninth Lesson. Today was the third lesson with presentations. So we started quickly. Thorald was presenting as first today about: fables and allegories. It was one of the best presentation and it went very well he got a 9! Then it was finally my turn, first I was not even a bit tense. But when it was my time to go I was in total stress, what not even was supposed to be. Finally it went not that bad as I thought it would be I got a 7 and at the end of the presentation it went good. I had just too came in the English speaking. After me it was Sem’s turn and he was telling about People and pigs. Sem’s presentation was very good, he used some difficult words and that made it look very professional.
Tenth lesson. Today we had the last four presentations. First it was Tess her turn. She told us about Nounative structure and novella. She had a super professional presentation and it was so good. She spoke a little too fast but further it was perfect. Her noted was an 8, 2. Then it was Teuntje’s turn she told us about Utopia or dystopia, sadly it was too short so she had to do it over tomorrow but with an extra subject Moses and Religion. Then it was Gijsje’s Turn. Gijsje told us about old Major, it went very well she did not looked even a bit nervous! And at last it was Serena’s turn. Serena told us about the feeling that you get when you read the book and her opinion about it, same as Teuntje’s presentation it was too short so she had to do it over tomorrow. But it went very well.
It was a very interesting book I think you could read it at least ones.

Hey there,
This time I am going to tell you how I put everything on my website! First I have made a word document with all the things I found in my research about Walter Disney. Then I got my pitch to my classmates. And finally got there my story about why Walter Disney my icon is (you can find that here on my website). Then I posted my logbook also on my website, with the links of my classmates and I put comments on my classmates websites. I have done much work to convince you all why Walter Disney is such a great person. I hoped you all liked it, and now see why he is my icon!

Hello lovely people,
This part I am going to tell you all about my research of Walter his family! I found out that Walter his father named Elias Disney a Irish-Canadian men was. And his mother named Flora Disney from English and German decent. And his parents married not far away from where Walter later decided to build the first Disney World. Walter lived in a family of five kids. Later Walter Disney married with a women named Lillian. Next time I am going to tell you all the thing I finely did for this project.

Hey people,
Next step for my research is to form a list with all the addresses of my classmates. I get a lot of mails of my classmates, where they link addresses in standing. So I get them all in a document so that I later can put them on my website. I also put my own link in it. When I was done with that I was searching on the internet more information about Walters family. But that is something I am going to tell you in the next part.
